My 5 favourite words

My 5 favourite words in English (or any language) 😀

Only five??

  1. Linear Afrikaans word (one of the official languages in South Africa) meaning ruler (measuring instrument) I love the sound of this word
  2. Pikkewyn another Afrikaans word, meaning penguin how can you not love this word, it is as cute as the little creature ♥
  3. Serendipity not just because of the movie, but yes I loved it too. This word just sounds exciting and invites romance. It’s meaning and straight from the dictionary “an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident”
  4. Dusk better than sunset, more secretive, quiet and peaceful because everyone is still sleeping…that time that is still a bit dark, between day and night *sigh* what beauty
  5. Oy vey is a Yiddish (Jewish) word which is used as an exclamation, for dismay or exasperation. I use this a lot, exactly as it is intended; when surprised or shocked at something. I Oy vey all the time
And that is day two of #writersbootcamp
