My glass jar

Tomorrow we are off to the bush (KNP) for an African holiday and safari with the #ItalianFamily.  I don’t know if I’m happy or excited or a little of both or feeling neither.  After our trip, on the day we are back, then we will be on full duty, in the kitchen all day long. Lots of baking and cooking right through…preparations for the big night!

And so I feel I need to end the year with a list. I love lists. A gratitude list, of everything I am thankful for….

At work I took some post-it-notes and started writing down what I am grateful for. Events and things that happened this year, special moments that I was blessed with. I filled my glass vase with little notes to myself of all the things I am thankful for. It is almost overflowing.

There were a few negatives this year, some days were hard. But putting these little notes in the vase helped me. We are blessed beyond measure and comprehension. So blessed. This year alone we upgraded two of our cars and bought a flat in Cape Town!  I still can’t believe that, my glass jar in summary:

Some things + glitter

Peoples names + my heart

Special days + memories

Special events + awesomeness

Thank you LORD for keeping me safe this year…thank you for everything….

In everything give thanks. 1 Thes 5:18

  1. Yes! In everything give thanks. Though sometimes when things are tough it is difficult to remember to do that. Such a cool idea to write it in post it notes and put all in a jar – a good reminder
